This is my role play character.
Her name is Charisse Oracle.
She's in Greecian times. ^^
This took me a good 5 hours, to draw, shade, and color. I'm pretty proud of it, and I'd like to hear what you think. ^^

>> No.5485

It's a little stiff.

Also, a Greek probably wouldn't have blond hair. I may be wrong though.

>> No.5491

pose is stiff and there is something else that its missing (dynamics?) but its pretty good

>> No.5505

Love her face and the curly hair ^^

Need a bit more practice. Get a lot of pictures and try to copy them till you learn the basics of anatomy. The first pic not bad, the second one is fine but too crowded... heads too big and not enough space for the bodies. Didnt like the last one. The heads too big and be careful when drawing bodies. I request to read some useful tutorials too. About coloring, i like it. Keep it up!

Would like to do webcomics so to practice I'm doing some fan comics. Thought I'd start with an (not really) old favourite of mine, Chobits.

Would love some comments on how/where I can improve. Thank you!

So...I was just wondering what sort of reaction I'd get for posting a couple of my drawings here. First one here is an OC of mine, Sen-chan...who is in fact a boy. On dA he's had quite a good reception, but then that's dA, as you know. Just wanted some honest crit :D

Magna Carta - The Phantom of Avalanche: Calintz

Fail for trace

Some people can indeed draw, you are clearly not one of them

>> No.5459

>>5458
As I said, the two last pictures are old - I have a slightly photographic memory so I can draw things like that pretty easily and they look like they're traced. Of course, you're just going to think that's an excuse, though.

If you think I trace, then how about the other two pictures??

>> No.5460

Why did you put a copyright notice on that second picture? It's so pretentious, as if anyone would actually want to steal or use it. lol

I respect the fact that you're just 14 and a girl, which explains everything put please... Don't embarass yourself, for your own sake.
That said I'm sure you have some talent and a lot of potential.
But seriously if you compare the quality of your work from within the nearest few months, there is much evidence that you at least copy scenes/poses from elsewhere and slightly alter them. Even if you don't downright trace them, but I honestly don't care because one isn't much worse than the other.

"Apologize - Kakuzu Hidan" is a good example of how your original work looks like. lol!
And as I compare it to "Myth - Dreams", which you drew over one month earlier... Well, it's blatantly obvious in my mind.

Needless to say, I'm not impressed.

>> No.5462

Just try for original work next time. If you use reference material, say it; It's not a sin. However, semi-tracing and then pretending the end-product is your original work garners no respect whatsoever.

If you really have the potential that you say you possess, show us. Prove our impression of you wrong. Keep working hard.

Hey guys. Turns out all you have to do to be popular on devART is churn out generic crap that panders to some random fandom! Especially true in expansion art. Don't try to be original or put effort into anything...why bother? PEOPLE WILL LOVE YOU ANYWAY. So long as you whore your shitty art to their weird fetish, you'll have pageviews out the ass. Even if you never improve or, you know, TRY.

(Not picking on this particular artist, or even expansion art. Just all the BS shitty "artists" out there who do this shit, and all their sycophantic, obviously blind followers.)

>> No.5248

but that artist IS shitty.
Kill it with FIRE

>> No.5249

No shit, but you BAAAAAAAAAAAAWWW about it like you care if a bunch of furries, 13 yr old girls, and gaiafags like the shit you make.

There's also people on that site with good work that get recognition for it. Elsevilla, for example.

I like this place though, cause people don't feel inclined to suck your balls, and things they say actually help you.

Also, good god, what hath op pic wrought?

>> No.5250

Yeah but it blows having to wade through all that shit to find a few gems. But I guess it's the same with most internet-related things.

>> No.5251

I think the way's that your "Preview" grow up is because you always roaming at the deviant...

For me, i rarely comment other and done a few dev comment...
So the result is, my pageview simply very little...

So, don't see the pageview... See the arts...

>> No.5262

Who care about all the weeaboos and comments? There is good art there. Ursula Vernon is just one example. Disable comments if they make you so butthurt and ignore the inflation art. You're on a chan. You've seen worse.
