This one's inking isn't the best, and the arms and shoulders are messed up.

Foreshortening is really cool and adds depth, but if it's not dynamic it's kind of boring like this.

Now, this one's more dynamic. ;)

This is kind of my dream girl. Long hair, A cup breasts, and wide hips.

Inking is shoddy in this one. Kind of quick sketch.

I'm glad I've gotten some positive remarks for once. :)

This set has kind of been an experiment. I don't know how Japanese manga artist do it, but I've been trying out an American method. I've been making large drawings and then reducing the size of the final product (by using photoshop). This allows me to make my inking nicer and then once the size is reduced any messy inking is all but unnoticeable.

Anyways, this is the last set I'll do for awhile. Mainly just experimenting.

Any comments and critiques are welcome. Heck, I'd even take some anatomy ones.

>>6046 "Heck, I'd even take some anatomy ones."
Gee, what are you doing on a crit board if youre not ready take critism?

Anyways.
There's still lot of work here. Mostly anatomy issues/body structure, perspective and foreshortening.
Most of these drawings look like they're drawn without any pose reference, therefore they got some issues.

>>6044
As example, the pose looks really awkward. Theres aswell many lines that just shouldnt be there, or I cant find a reason for them, like the legs and that "buttcrack" thats trying to escape her bottom. What is it?
The hair looks like a white, wet dog that's been beated to death and slapped on her head as a wig.

Her other arm looks like an amputee stump, heck... both of them looks like that.
Left one needs to stand more out from her torso, and the right one needs something that shows that it doesnt end that abruptly.

Head is dislocated, needs to be moved closer back to the neck and the head shouldn't turn that many degrees(if she doesnt got some owl genes).

>>6046
Right shoulder needs to be slightly raised, because the muscle 'deltoid' (which covers your shoulder and connects to your 'biceps') follows her arm.
You seem to have the habit of drawing collarbones sometimes a bit too low, and emphasing the "line" for the 'sternomastoid' muscle.

Study what you draw, so that you know what you're doing and not just copying other pictures, or the worst, making up from your memory.

(google up the muscle names if you dont know them, i cant be bothered to start describing them)

>>6044 Lol, that one was pretty crappy.

I've studied anatomy quite extensively the past two years, but I do screw up without looking at an anatomy book or a sketch I've done from life, which I didn't do for any of these.

Of course you're right on all accounts.

Any suggestions for hair? I have always had trouble drawing that.

Study hairflow and think that you are drawing strands of hair, not big bunches.
Hair differs very much depending on the person, so it might be a bit hard to say how hair should look like.

<-Lol, MSPaint.

One thing I kinda like is that you've not been so very afraid of taking on hard angles and all that. And I can sense there's some inherent strenght in your artistic vision, even though none of these pictures are particularly good. It's just small things you notice.

I suggest you keep at it, because I think you could develop well. You just need to give it much more time.
And by that I don't mean; spend another 5 years drawing the way you do now. I mean, take more of your spare-time to draw.
Talent here is an incredible asset. If you become good enough you could make a living. It will always be a rewarding thing to fall back to when you need to vent yourself. People will admire your talent if you're into that shit...
lol srsly tho' who isn't?

Not to mention a strong artistic talent does help you to mentally become stronger in other areas. Anything that excercises your brain makes you smarter.

Just saying; draw more

>>6050 That's good advice. The thing is that I'm an artist in more of a traditional since, with charcoal, paint, and all that jazz. Being a university student in fine art, I've quickly learned that this kind of illustration is swept under the rug and thought of as a bad dream that doesn't exist. That said I don't have a lot of time to draw this kind of stuff, but I do when I can.

Actually, if I had to pick one of these pictures as the best, I would pick the first one I posted, >>5947 , because it is the most aesthetically sound work I've posted here.

Stick that in their fucking faces, they are cunts.
Know what that is? They are ignorant. They wanna feel remarkable by complicating this trade even while there are easier/cheaper alternatives.
Working on the computer is less exclusive, less of a bother, cheaper, cleaner. They might wanna think half of what is art is the pain of pushing your ideas out through the limitations of traditional medium.
Well, they are fucking idiots.
A true artist cares not a shit about how he accomplishes his works, but that he can make them as close to his vision as possible.
I bet if for example Leonardo Da Vinci lived in our time, he would make cg-art.

Not to mention most of these snotty shits don't know half a fuck about the process of creating original cg-art. They think the computer does 90% of the job, and that everything is about fancy program functions generating everything while you can kick back and kneed your cock.

If I were you I would leave that pathetic excuse for an art-school out of protest, and make my own way.

>>Actually, if I had to pick one of these pictures as the best, I would pick the first one I posted

Why? because there's color and wierdness? I don't agree. I'd say >>6043 claims that title. Because you tried something difficult, and in part also pulled it off. These are the kind of things you should reward yourself for making, because they will make you develop the most.
