Toji's little sister is never named in the show. And we actually hear her speak in the Eva2 game, but she is just an elementary school kid.

I kinda think it would be amusing if Anno builds up fans hopes for Mari and then she ends up just being a regular person instead of somebody mysterious or a Children.

And Shinji does need to get some....but preferably from a certain roommate of his (not his guardian and not the penguin). ;)
