pic unrelated.

This is a demo video of the 32x' graphic capabilities:

I'm totally digging the song, though... it almost sounds like it's being played on the 32x hardware.. could it have been borne of the demoscene back in the day? Has anyone ever heard it before?

Sorry to bump my own thread but I did a little scouring and found that Jesper Kyd was part of Zyrinx, the company who did Sub Terranea and a few other impressive Genesis games (and the tech demo), and chances are he's the one who did the tech demo music. I found some of his stuff over at AMP, and it sounds similar to the music in the tech demo but none of the hosted files seem to be it.

voice samples used in the song;
"My time is your's"
"We need a new Unity."
"I thought that unity was discouraged, Mr Senator."
"We need descent, we need a creative descent." (or "dissent" instead of descent?)
"Our voices are not raised in any harmonious chorus, but our differences are differences of empathy."

Hmm, a brief google search shows some of hte same lines used in some song called "Regime of Coincidence, State of Gravity" but I can't find THAT song anywhere to verify.

Still searching, if anyone can offer more input, it'd be appreciated :)

Not useful to thread, but note that Jesper Kyd made the soundtrack of "Scorcher" on Sega Saturn, a good but hard game with a feeling of an unfortunately unfinished game, and... the OST from this game was fucking great.

I'd like to request or some help in to find the soundtrack of the game "Scorcher" from Zyrinx. I had this game as a kid and loved its soundtrack, but lost the CD as time passed. The version I had was for the PC. Pic related...

If anyone has the soundtrack, upload link requested ^_^

A possible method to get the Scorcher soundtrack requires someone who already has the game. For those who still have the game, try to rip the songs somehow and upload them...

Got the soundtrack, will make a megaupload later.

For those curious of one of Zyrinx's game titles:

I said later but not never, so here it is, found on a russian fansite in the deep deep internets some years ago, this site might not exist anymore, so you're lucky I saved it...

http://www.megaupload.com/fr/?d=TTKKKLD0

Note: None of the tracks are in the order of appearance in the game because it is a rip from the PC version, and track 08 (title screen) is different from the Saturn version (Much better IMO T_T)

Another note: this great OST was made in a soundtracker format using the Sega Saturn sound chip, coded by Jesper Kyd himself if I remember good what I read...

And I played the game recently on my Saturn, I have it for more than 10 years now, still unable to finish it, even in easy mode... FUCKING HARD GAME.

bump 4 thx

Awesome work! I understand it took a while for whatever reasons, but thank you so much for uploading this. I too bumping for awesome thanks ^_^

When I remembered playing this game, I beat it on easy but never tried the other difficulty levels though...

>> No.7843

Bumping for awesome thanks as well. (^_^)

I remember the game's title screen music, but if possible, could you upload a sample of sorts of the Saturn version?

A possible method is to just upload a YouTube video of Scorcher's Saturn title screen music playing or something like that.

Many thanks for the upload! (^o^)
