Aren't there better ways to kill oneself? I imagine inhaling chemicals would be very painful and unpleasant. Why not just OD on sleeping pills/depressants, carbon monoxide, or something else.
>>6860I bet they'd commit seppuku if the second's task weren't tantamount to murder.
>>6860 Some people seek for easy way. They heard >>6859 is painless way to die so they are doing it. They don't like the reality, and trusted information from Internet that says >>6859 is the painless way to die. There a book called the complete suicide manual in Japan. According to that book, OD is painful, too. Seppuku is awfully painful. Therefore those who commit "easy and less painfully" suicide won't try those two. I don't know anything about the pain with >>6859 this suicide.

In addition, Seppuku isn't the way to run away from the problem. Besides that, only Bushi did seppuku in the past. Bushi never existed after the arrival of American Black Ship. Those who talking about seppuku only based on the images and propagandas during the WW II are stupid. During the WW II, there is no bushi, samurai in Japan.
>>6863Yes, well, call it harakiri if you want to. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seppuku#Seppuku_in_modern_Japan
>>6889 Anyone can edit wiki and it doesn't prove you're right. If you are trying to make some points it's rather stupid.
>>6893Anyone can attempt edit wiki, but then it goes through editing to make sure it isn't BS.
>>6895 There's a huge difference btw Seppuku style and the actual Seppuku. Anyone can imitate Samurai, but no one will be Samurai unless the title was admitted by Tokugawa Shogunate.
