"UFO spotted by police helicopter"

"A police helicopter crew has spotted what is described as an unusual aircraft in the Vale of Glamorgan."

"But three-man crew could not capture any images before the object vanished"

""But it is certainly not advisable for police helicopters to go chasing what they think are UFOs," the spokesperson said."

While I'm the first to admit that it's impossible for we on Earth to be the only lifeforms in the universe (certainly going by the law of probability), and it's obvious that the extraterrestrial visitors we've had are superior in intelligence - clearly having the technological nous to build galaxy-spanning craft, I call into question their sense of aesthetics. I mean, flying SAUCERS?! That's SO 1950s! Since then, our film companies' production designers have come up with spaceship designs that are VASTLY superior in every way (posted pic as a prime example).

No, until ol' E.T. can come visit us in something resembling a Romulan Valdore-class Warbird (or akin to some of the ship designs Hollywood's come up with), I'm afraid I'll refer to 'flying saucer' UFOs as IFOs: Inferior Flying Objects.
