Actually, that's not nearly as good as Goblin King. Why? Color change, and have an automatic second creature type, you're required to splash black to even play that enchantment (although, post Ravnica, even us poor players could splash a color without it impacting a deck's creation too too much), and it doesn't give mountainwalk. I suppose, though, that Dralnu's Crusade would be pretty cool in a Lorwyn based deck, since Goblins are primarily black now, with splash red, and changelings are all colors. Not sure I'm big on giving my goblins the zombie creature type; though Lorwyn didn't really have many anti-zombie cards. Even still, Mountainwalk > Color change and zombie creature type addition.

>> No.671

>>661
Swings and roundabouts, mountainwalk is obviously awesome if they other guy is playing red, but not much use otherwise. Turning your goblins black also makes them immune to a lot of targeted creature kill, and lets them block creatures with fear for instance.

Not sure if I've ever heard of any specifically "anti-zombie" cards in any block either.

i must show off a card I have created!

>> No.682

Counterspell.
Hands down, this card is the epoch of power. "Of all things they learned, the greatest was the ability to simply say 'No'."
Over look it all you want, but Counterspell is more often the difference between a win and a loss. (though I do say Force of Will has got some desperation points).

>> No.697

Deflect is the greatest card of all time.

In a channel, black lotus, fireball combo, if mono blue goes first, it will deflect the fireball back to the original player (I've witnessed this first hand).

The result: Epic Lulz

cards aren't clear enough to me to read the game name on them? Are these legit cards or fanmade?

>> No.742

>>741
The cards look legit. Don't know the game, as copyright info and game logos aren't displayed on the face side, it seems (might be on the back of the card).

Bottom left of the cards reads off the illustrator ("Illus. <name>") bottom right reads some classification (valkyries, secondary DAK (or D4K), treasure, dragonology, and celestian were the ones I could read...) followed by a number.

What language are the cards written in? I can see english and some other language. Might give a clue to what it is, unless OP is to be so kind as to clue us in on the game.

Indeed. If I may ripoff some dude on some blog:
The Seven Stages of Gygax
Joy: Wow, this is exciting. I'm having adventures in a magical world of gods, demons, and dragons. I love magic missile because it hits automatically! Weapon specialization? Cool. Double weapon specialization? Hell yeah! Hey, who's behind these giant attacks? Drow? Awesome!
Discontent: How come in basic D&D, elf and dwarf are classes? That's really stupid. "What do you do, good sir?" "Why, stout yeoman, I am an elf, professionally!" Duh. And speaking of classes, why are they so restrictive? And why are so many fighters exactly alike? If psionics are so rare, why is there at least one character in every party who has it? And someone with an 18/00 strength for that matter.
Anger: I need a frickin' dictionary just to read the DMG. This Gygaxian prose is killing me. And a harlot table? What the hell? That barbarian from Dragon Magazine should be called the super-fighter. And don't even get me started on the cavalier. And what's up with Greyhawk? It's geography makes no sense at all. And why does magic missile hit automatically and get better as you up in levels? That's totally broken. In fact, this entire game is broken!
Abandonment: Gygax was nothing but a hack with a thesaurus. Did you ever try to read one of his so-called novels? To hell with him and AD&D. He screwed over Dave Arneson anyway. I'm off to greener pastures. I hear Runequest is skill based and Glorantha is so authentically mythic. And Champions has point build character creation with advantages and disadvantages. And in Traveler, you can die right in character creation!

Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
