So, I wanted to go ahead and make a spell describing it in DnD. I'm thinking a level five spell allowing you to affect friction, and transport friction all within a radius of INT feet. Too powerful?

Might be overpowered, might be underpowered. To what extent could you affect the friction and what would be the exact effects?
How the hell does this work? All surfaces within INT feet are suddenly fictionless? because adding friction wouldn't do much, unless you tried to do it to the enemy's clothes...

A fellow co-worker dragged me into the game, it is as easy as it is complex. A dragon player myself.
I have a ratling deck. I once played a dragon clan earth shugenja in the tabletop d20 version.
Scorpion clan ftw! but i haven't played the CCG since jade edition, from what i understand it's a completely diffrent game nowadays

I've got a closet full of painted Scorpion Clan war mini's. Then after my buddy painted them for me, my gaming group broke apart, think I would have learned my leason, but now i play D&D Mini's. On a related note, AEG has printed 3ed rules for L5R. WHich in my oppinion worked a bunch better then the d20 system it got turned into when Wizards of the coast bought the liscence.

Picked up Redline for $5, good stuff, but a lot to remember as far as deviance from the stndard D20 skills and feats. Book is pretty thin, and only provides enough background to "get you started" rather than a fully fledged campaign.
Darwin's World 2nd Ed is the best d20 Post-Apoc book out there IMO.Non-d20 would be either Deadlands: Hell on Earth or Twilight 2000.

So I picked this up awhile ago, thinking some of the art was nice and I'd played a couple 2nd Ed games that were fun. There anything I should be aware of before trying to convince some friends to play this instead of D&D(Or pending me getting the cash together, Exalted 2nd)?On an initial read through, the whole thing looks pretty good. I picked it up and am a HUGE fan of tri-stat dx. Still, couldn't talk my group into it. Now we're doing Iron Heroes, which I do say is quite enjoyable.
BESM is a very good nice little generic system. You can do a lot of stuff with it.If you like to have just a system and make your own settings, get BESM. if you like having an awesome over-the-top setting, get exalted 2nd.

godly/ungodly rolls thread go.I for one have had 40k terminator librarian take a defiler's battle cannon to the face and live, then get smacked by a single bolt pistol in the same round of shooting, losing the game.also had a jumpy chaplain make 5 out of 5 to-hit rolls, then get 5 2s.against necrons.anyone else ?

The other week at D&D my party was attempting to cross a river. I attemted to swim to an Island in the middle to make a bridge from the trees there. However, I rolled a nat 1 on my swim check. This caused me to be attacked by an octopus. However, after rolling a 20 on my oppose grapple check, A marlin attacked the octopus and an epic batle commensed.

I was playing Tau facing off against Orks.There was a large Mob of Orks that would be in assault range next turn so I level 40 Pulse Rifle Shots (S5 AP5) & 12 Krot gun shots (S4 AP5) at the unit.The unit in question was protected by a 5+ Invulnerable Save (a Big Mek's force field, if I remember correctly). Out of those 52 Shots, I kill 2 (TWO!) Orks. They just kept making their save... the most invulnerable Invulnerable Save I've ever seen. :p
