Picked up Redline for $5, good stuff, but a lot to remember as far as deviance from the stndard D20 skills and feats. Book is pretty thin, and only provides enough background to "get you started" rather than a fully fledged campaign.
Darwin's World 2nd Ed is the best d20 Post-Apoc book out there IMO.Non-d20 would be either Deadlands: Hell on Earth or Twilight 2000.

>>573Yeah, but...Darwin's World is fucking depressing as HELL.
I rember GDW'S "Twillight 2000" series.shame GDW is no longer with us.
>>584Twilight 2000 is awesome. They had a vidya gaem made of that, didn't they?
>>587 don't think so, GDW didn't do many video games, except "Harpoon" by Larry Bond. Could be wrong though...

>>592IIRC HOTU has the TW:2k PC game. And I heard that some company got the rights to remake it, Apparently they're changing the plot to "better suit today's world" witch is stupid IMO.I think a d20 Fallout game is in the works as well. From what I recall, The newer editions of Gamma World suck balls.

>>594Actually, it depends on how butthurt or not one is about Nuclear Powaa! being the lone source of powers and mutations, compared to the new state of things being equally likely to be caused by radiation, biotechnology, or nanotech.Essentially, it's still the post-apoc we know and love, with newer, vaster amounts of stuff to change and/or kill you, with more logical explanations for the players. I recall seeing on usenet where someone pitched a fit about hoops no longer, verbatim, turning metal to rubber, but instead the nanotech inside them disassembling metal into a 'black, rubberlike semisolid material'. The answer given summed it up perfectly - "My condolences on the limpness of your sword."

The collapse didn't come hard and fast, like a Tzar Bomba grade winter palace shattering illusions of detente at groundburst. Apart from the irradiated Kashmiris, the great states showed admirable restraint. Up until they collapsed, like a soufflee left in the oven. And Johnny, goddamn it, is desperate to go marching home.

>>829Also had some ideas that, while great, kind of diluted the Gamma World vibe. For example, the Nanotech-wielding prestige class. On the whole, not a terrible game. Just not exactly what everyone was hoping for.Reports of Fallout-style games being run in Spycraft 2.0 sound very, very promising. And I love me some Spycraft.
