Tieflings, represent!
Jaebrin from Monster Manual V
Hyumans.
My all time favorite character was a Lizardfolk. I love that race. =)That said, my favorite common race is Half-Elf. They're the masters of everything and of nothing.

We have been playing BG's at my house every friday night for a while, including non traditional card games (Chez Geek) and tile games like Zombies! What have you guys been playing?
I am a little down on Settlers of Catan. It's a brilliant game, but it is too random for me. I can have the best setup in the world, and a few lucky rolls push the guy on the 2 and 12 into the winners circle.
When not in the company of those who play full on Figure games, I enjoy a relatively inexpensive and more game-noob friendly alternative in the form of Heroscape. Its almost shockingly fun ever having played "real" strategy games like Warhammer 40K.I also love to while away the hours on Risk, Risk 2010 and Risk Godstorm (all other risk's are balls)And of course, nothing can beat the classic feel of a game of chess at my universities local chess club. Note: I am horrible at chess to a degree that is nigh unfathomable.

>>450a friend of mine came up with an easy solution for that: just about any box of dominoes will have the right pip-combinations for all the possible dice outcomes, so put in one of each combo per 'value dot' that Catan gives it. put em all face down, and pick one instead of rolling dice.you get a fixed curve of output, but a randomized order.

>>454Won't this result in players memorizing the outcomes so far?
>>452Thanks for giving me the name of that game. I saw it at Walmart like a year ago and have wanted to buy it since.
Dark Tower. There's a flash version at http://www.hotflashgames.com/darktower.htm
>>668God, I love that game...
This, but fourth edition
>>672 The art is cooler in 2nd ed. Awesome boardgame though.
Mage the Ascension. I'm buying the 2nd edition core rulebook in order to start playing it with my current VTM group. What does /tabletop/ think of MTA?
Sphere Magick is fantastically abusive in the wrong hands.Heh, gaming in the early 90's. White Wolf tried so hard to get away from traditional gaming behaviors and conventions, only to have it all collapse under the weight of it's own pretentiousness. Gamers will be gamers, no matter how much you change the terminology and focus on "free-form storytelling."

>>674It was a nice attempt while it lasted anyways.OF couse it's even funnier that they ended the World of Darkness (who else ends their own stories instead of milking it for all it's worth?) to make a new WoD that is so generally alien and odd that most won't even touch it and would rather spend forever hunting about Ebay for books. At least the other stuff they did afterwards is rather good.

Bargain at twice the price!
>>620Actually, that's not nearly as good as Goblin King. Why? Color change, and have an automatic second creature type, you're required to splash black to even play that enchantment (although, post Ravnica, even us poor players could splash a color without it impacting a deck's creation too too much), and it doesn't give mountainwalk. I suppose, though, that Dralnu's Crusade would be pretty cool in a Lorwyn based deck, since Goblins are primarily black now, with splash red, and changelings are all colors. Not sure I'm big on giving my goblins the zombie creature type; though Lorwyn didn't really have many anti-zombie cards. Even still, Mountainwalk > Color change and zombie creature type addition.
>>661Swings and roundabouts, mountainwalk is obviously awesome if they other guy is playing red, but not much use otherwise. Turning your goblins black also makes them immune to a lot of targeted creature kill, and lets them block creatures with fear for instance. Not sure if I've ever heard of any specifically "anti-zombie" cards in any block either.

Good with Kamahl
Dryad Arbor.Win.
Man, that gives me nightmares. I remember Squirrel decks!
I was always wanting to build a deck based on Bramblewood Elemental, Fists of Ironwood, Doubling Season, and Flickerform, and Privelliged(sp) Position. What was that? 12 saprolings a turn?

Funny enough we just started an Eberron campaign last night and I rolled a Warforged. I want to go juggernaut, but I was convinced to roll an artificer. Think Ican make both work?
I personally love Warforged. So much potential, but such a hindrance when playing with munchkins.>>657Yes, you can. Your character's goal could be to become like the legendary Warforged of Xendrik by crafting himself modifications. Remember, Juggernauts try to emulate true constructs as best their ability. So keep that in mind when debating on going that PrC.
